Disney announces behind-the-scenes series for The Mandalorian and Grogu

Disney and Lucasfilm have announced a two-part official podcast series providing a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the film ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’. The series is scheduled to premiere on September 2, 2026, coinciding with the film’s availability on Disney+ following its theatrical release in May 2026.

The podcast consists of two episodes titled ‘Growing Up’ and ‘Bigger & Different’. Filmed on the Adelphi Base Bar set used during the movie's production, the series features key creators including director, writer, and producer Jon Favreau, alongside Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni and Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson. Cast members such as Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver are also expected to participate.

While the video version will be available on Disney+, the audio format will be distributed across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, SiriusXM, and iHeartRadio.
