Disney announces closure and reopening dates for EPCOT's Coral Reef Restaurant

Walt Disney World is continuing the operational recalibration of EPCOT following the multi-year redesign of the park’s front half. As part of this ongoing evolution, the Coral Reef Restaurant, located within The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion, is scheduled to close on September 8, 2026, for an extended period. While Disney has not specified the exact scope of the work, reservation systems indicate the restaurant is set to reopen on November 4, 2026.

The closure is part of a broader strategy to refresh dining, entertainment, and guest flow within the park. Following the conclusion of the major EPCOT reboot in 2024, the park has shifted toward a concept that emphasizes social spaces, such as CommuniCore Hall & Plaza and World Celebration Gardens, allowing guests to focus on dining and atmosphere rather than just traditional attractions.
