The Proud Family concludes with final season on Disney+

Disney+ announced that the animated series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will end with its fourth and final season, premiering on July 29. The finale arrives on the show’s 25th anniversary and will see Penny Proud facing a life‑changing adventure with “bigger action, more emotional twists and new challenges,” according to the press release.

Creators Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar reflected on the series’ legacy, saying they “keep it real” by grounding the show in recognizable Black cultural moments. They also renewed their overall deal with Disney Television Animation to develop future projects under their BaR Productions banner. The final season will feature guest stars such as Mariah Carey, Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong, and a stop‑motion holiday special titled A Proud Family Wizmas. The series’ iconic theme song, performed by Solange with backing vocals from Destiny’s Child, remains a fan favorite.

Smith added, “Penny Proud is the Proud Family. Without her we have nothing,” underscoring the importance of lead actress Kyla Pratt’s role in the show’s continued success.
