Disney implements theme park changes and Marvel streaming guides
Disney is implementing several operational and content changes across its theme parks and streaming platforms. At Walt Disney World Resort, the seasonal Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is impacting park operations. The event, running through October 31, 2026, involves separately ticketed nights that alter Magic Kingdom operating hours and guest flow, often resulting in earlier park closures for standard admission guests.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, September 2026 will feature layered access tiers, including Disney After Hours events and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Additionally, reports indicate Disney is developing several theme park attractions into film and television projects, including a potential Disney+ series based on the Spaceship Earth attraction at EPCOT.
On the digital front, Disney+ has launched a “Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday” section to prepare viewers for the upcoming film scheduled for release on December 18, 2026. The curated list includes 15 titles, such as the original X-Men films and the series Loki, intended to help fans navigate the complex Marvel Cinematic Universe chronology and the concept of multiversal incursions.
