Disney+ announces horror-comedy series ‘Gnomes’ directed by Matthias Hoene

Director Matthias Hoene is set to premiere a new six-part horror-comedy series titled ‘Gnomes’ on Disney+. The series features a premise where an ancient curse awakens an army of murderous garden gnomes, causing chaos in a small town.

Starring Asa Butterfield as police officer Arnold Kipps, the show follows his attempts to save his community from the pint-sized killers. Hoene, known for works such as ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’, noted that the project allows for imaginative storytelling centered on underdog heroes rising to meet absurd circumstances.
