Disney+ announces new series for Soy Luna and X-Files

Disney+ has announced upcoming content expansions for two major franchises. The popular series Soy Luna will return with a sequel titled ‘Soy Luna: De retour sur la piste’, scheduled to premiere on October 21. The new season consists of 12 episodes set at the Jam & Roller rink, following Luna as she attempts to regain her confidence after a serious accident while facing new romantic dilemmas and a mysterious enemy. The original creative team and most of the main cast, including Karol Sevilla, are returning.

Additionally, Disney+ has greenlit a reboot of the cult series X-Files, titled ‘X-Files: Aux frontières du réel’. Directed by Ryan Coogler, production is set to begin on October 14, 2026. Unlike previous iterations, this series will feature a new cast led by Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel, portraying different FBI agents tasked with investigating unexplained phenomena in a long-abandoned department.
