Disney+ announces October content lineup led by Marvel’s VisionQuest
Disney+ faces a relatively quiet October schedule, headlined by the premiere of the Marvel series ‘VisionQuest’ on October 14. The series features Paul Bettany returning as Vision and James Spader as Ultron, following the events of ‘WandaVision’. Showrunner Terry Matalas has confirmed that no generative AI was used in the production, noting that certain visual design choices in the Mindscape were intentional hand-built elements.
Other upcoming content for the month includes the live-action series ‘Coven Academy’, which will stream on Disney+ and Hulu starting October 2. The platform will also host several Halloween-themed specials, including a ‘Phineas and Ferb’ special on October 7, and the second season of ‘Vampirina: Teenage Vampire’. Additionally, ‘Adventure Time: Side Quests’ is set to return for its second season on October 2 across Disney+ and Hulu.
In the preschool segment, ‘Spidey and his Amazing Friends’ is releasing a Halloween special titled ‘Marvel’s Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up!’. Executive producer Chris Moreno noted that the adaptation of the character Hallow’s Eve focuses on Halloween magic and mischief to better suit a preschool audience.
