Disney+ announces second season of ‘Coppola, el representante’

Disney+ has announced the release of the second season of the Argentine comedy-drama series ‘Coppola, el representante’ on October 23. The production, starring Juan Minujín as Guillermo Coppola, explores the life and career of the former manager of football legend Diego Maradona.

The new season consists of six episodes, each approximately 30 minutes long. The narrative uses a framing device where Coppola holds conversations at Maradona’s grave to reflect on his turbulent history. The plot spans from the start of his professional relationship with Maradona in 1984 through periods of immense sporting success and media exposure, to the economic and legal difficulties that forced him to reinvent himself.

Filming for the new chapters took place in various international locations, including Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Punta del Este, and Naples. The series is created by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, with Ariel Winograd serving as director and showrunner.
