Disney+ announces September 2026 lineup featuring Star Wars

Disney+ has announced its September 2026 content lineup, headlined by the streaming debut of the Star Wars film “The Mandalorian and Grogu” on September 2. Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, the film follows Din Djarin and his apprentice on a mission for the New Republic. The film's release is accompanied by a LEGO Star Wars animated special titled “LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian”.

In addition to Star Wars content, the streaming platform's September schedule includes various series such as “Blood of my Blood,” the new season of the Outlander spin-off, and the thirteenth season of “American Horror Story.” Other notable releases include “Made in Korea” and various Hulu original series.

Looking further ahead, Disney has teased a major, unannounced Star Wars event planned for 2027 in Brazil to coincide with the franchise's 50th anniversary. This milestone year will also see the theatrical release of “Star Wars: Starfighter” in May 2027.
