Disney announces seven-film fall theatrical slate

The Walt Disney Company has announced a seven-film theatrical slate for the fall season, running from September 4 through November 6. The lineup features a mix of new narrative features, documentaries, and re-releases.

Key releases include a 20th-anniversary re-release of Pixar’s ‘Cars’ on September 4, followed by the Oasis reunion documentary ‘Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger’ on September 11. Marvel Studios will bring ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’ to theaters on September 25, which includes a preview of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.

October releases include the Stephen Curry documentary ‘Portrait of an Artist’ on October 9, the 20th Century Studios thriller ‘Whalefall’ on October 16, and the IMAX documentary ‘Everest: The Other Side’ on October 30. The fall season concludes with the Searchlight Pictures dramedy ‘Wild Horse Nine’ on November 6.

In conjunction with this announcement, Disney disclosed that its studios have surpassed $4 billion at the global box office for the year 2026.
