Disney+ Announces ‘Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi’ Anime Series

Disney+ will launch a new limited‑anime series titled *Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi* on August 5, 2026. Supervising director Kenji Kamiyama explained that the project expands the *Visions* anthology, following the character Lah Kara, a young Jedi‑in‑training who embarks on a quest to rescue her father and rebuild the Jedi Order.

The series introduces new antagonists, including a Sith named Gennoh and the fleet‑builder General Nawaam, while also fleshing out existing figures such as Margrave Juro and Lah Zhima. Production I.G and Disney collaborate to deliver eight episodes that blend classic *Star Wars* themes with Japanese anime storytelling.
