Disney begins construction on Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom

Disney is progressing with the construction of Tropical Americas, a new themed land at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The expansion is set to replace the existing DinoLand U.S.A. area.

The new land, which includes the village of Pueblo Esperanza, will feature several new attractions and experiences. Key upcoming additions include an Encanto-themed attraction, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, El Carrusel de los Animalitos, and an Indiana Jones attraction titled ‘Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent’ featuring a Mayan temple structure.

Construction is currently underway, with visible progress including emerging rockwork and the assembly of steel frameworks for new structures. The project marks a significant reimagining of the park section previously occupied by DinoLand U.S.A.
