Disney celebrates Princess Month and signals new animated content

The Walt Disney Company is celebrating Princess Month this August with the campaign ‘Disney Princess – Create Your Own World’. The initiative includes special content, products, and the release of the short film ‘Always Princess’, directed by Alex Prager, which is available on Disney+ and YouTube.

Additionally, indications suggest that the animated series ‘Sofia the First: Royal Magic’ may be returning for a second season. While Disney has not made an official announcement, SAG-AFTRA production records list ‘Sofia the First: Royal Magic (Yr 2)’ with an ‘Active’ status, identifying Disney TV Animation as the signatory company.
