Disney composer Alan Menken previews new Tangled song

Composer Alan Menken previewed a new, unreleased song for a Tangled stage musical during the D23 event. While Menken is also contributing to the upcoming live-action Tangled remake, the song performed was specifically written for the stage production. Disney has not confirmed if the track will appear in the film.

The live-action remake is currently filming in Spain. The cast includes Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel, and Diego Luna in a new role named Hawthorne. Caitríona Balfe has also joined the cast as Queen Arianna. Directed by Michael Gracey, the film is scheduled for theatrical release on March 31, 2028.
