Disney conceals Little Mermaid attraction for refurbishment

The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction at Disney California Adventure Park is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment. The show building, located in Paradise Gardens Park, has been almost entirely concealed by beige construction walls and themed scrim fabric.

Construction activity began in early August with the appearance of scaffolding and dark scrim. Since then, plywood barriers have been installed to restrict guest access to the surrounding area, and themed fabric has been used to replace much of the original black scrim to better match the attraction’s exterior. Currently, only a small portion of the roof, including King Triton’s Trident, remains visible above the construction materials.
