Disney+ thriller ‘Furious’ concludes first season with renewal confirmed
The first season of the Disney+ and Hulu thriller series ‘Furious’, created by Elizabeth Meriwether, has concluded with its eighth episode, titled ‘Hart Island’. The series, which follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she pursues serial killer Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew), has seen a significant rise in viewership, with one-day viewership increasing by 40 per cent toward the end of the season.
The season finale resolves central mysteries regarding the investigation into Jay Easton and the death of Isabel Luna, while establishing complex moral shifts for the protagonists. The episode concludes with Alice Black admitting to killing Easton and possessing evidence against other complicit individuals within the FBI, including Director Ed George.
A second season has been officially confirmed by Disney+. While a release date has not been announced, the upcoming installment is expected to explore the consequences of Alice’s actions, her relationship with other characters, and potential internal investigations involving Nora Washington.
