Disney Dream cruise ship employee alleges poisoning in Spain
On 28 July 2026 an Argentinian photographer employed by Disney Cruise Line became ill after the Disney Dream docked at the port of Vigo, Spain. She was taken to a local clinic and later filed a police complaint accusing a fellow crew member of poisoning her.
Spanish newspaper Faro de Vigo reports the employee alleges that chlorine was secretly placed in her drinking‑water bottle. Spanish police boarded the vessel to secure evidence. At the time, the Disney Dream was on a seven‑day repositioning voyage from Barcelona to Southampton, with scheduled stops in Vigo, Cartagena, Malaga and A Coruña. The ship, built in 2010 in Papenburg, Germany, can carry about 4,000 passengers.
