Disney Dreamlight Valley introduces Oogie Boogie via limited-time event

Gameloft has released the ‘Season of Scares’ update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, introducing Oogie Boogie as the game’s first limited-time character. To unlock him as a permanent resident, players must complete a series of six weekly challenges released between September 23 and October 28, 2026.

Players must initiate the process by completing the introductory quest, ‘A Halloween Invasion,’ which involves investigating a strange mirror at Scrooge’s Store. Prerequisites for accessing these missions include having already unlocked the Peaceful Meadow biome, Scrooge’s Store, and Remy’s Restaurant.

If the questline is not completed by November 4, 2026, players will lose the opportunity to unlock the character until the following year. Completing the final challenge, ‘Oogie Boogie’s Big Game,’ officially welcomes the character to the Valley and provides exclusive rewards, such as Zero the companion.
