Disney+ expands global strategy and Brazilian benefits program

Disney+ is implementing a global strategy to expand its service offerings, including plans for a free version to compete with platforms like YouTube. While a specific launch date for the free tier in Brazil has not been set, the company confirmed the project is part of a worldwide initiative.

Additionally, Disney+ plans to bring ‘Verts’ to Latin America. Developed in partnership with TikTok, Verts is a feature dedicated to vertical video content. The initiative includes a global agreement allowing selected content creators to use company properties to produce their own short-form videos.

In Brazil, the ‘Disney+ Benefícios’ program is also expanding through new partnerships with Mercado Livre, Renner, and McDonald’s. These collaborations offer subscribers discounts on shopping, fashion, and food, aiming to increase the perceived value of the subscription by connecting entertainment with daily consumer needs.
