Disney expands retail presence with UK outlet and US merchandise imports
Disney is expanding its physical and product availability through new retail initiatives in the United Kingdom and the United States.
In the UK, the company has announced plans to open its first-ever outlet location at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks this autumn. The 1,300-square-foot pop-up shop will offer a mix of full-price merchandise and discounted products from brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. This marks a new approach to physical retail for the brand in the region, joining its existing flagship presence in London.
In the US, Disney is making select merchandise from its Japanese and European stores available to domestic customers. To coincide with the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh, the Disney Store has released plush collections inspired by E. H. Shepard’s original illustrations and the Winnie the Pooh StanDs collection, both originally from Disney Store Japan. Additional items, such as winter warmwear from Disney Store Europe, are also being integrated into the US market.
