Disney+ expands service models with free tier in Brazil and discounts in France

Disney+ is implementing new pricing and service models to expand its user base. In Brazil, the platform has officially launched a free, advertising-supported tier. This model provides access to content from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic, though it includes limitations such as advertisements, a single simultaneous stream, no offline downloads, and restricted access to 4K UHD, HDR, and Dolby Atmos features.

In France, Disney+ is currently offering a six-month promotional discount across its three subscription tiers: Standard with ads, Standard, and Premium. The Premium tier offers the largest discount at 25% off for the first six months. The platform is also leveraging new content, such as the release of Zootopia 2, to drive engagement during this promotional period.
