Disney+ faces ongoing 4K availability issues for Premium subscribers

Disney+ is facing ongoing technical issues regarding the availability of 4K-HDR content for its Premium tier subscribers. Since July 27, the 4K feature has been missing from several devices without prior notice to users.

Despite official communications listing specific compatible hardware—including certain Android TV models, Amazon Fire TV, LG TVs from 2020 onwards, Sky Glass, and Sky Stream—subscribers report that 4K remains unavailable on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Fire Stick 4K. Disney+ customer support has reportedly indicated that the service is in a “verification phase,” leaving users uncertain about when full functionality will be restored.
