Disney+ greenlights 'House of Fates' spinoff of Korean hit series

Disney+ has announced a new unscripted series, House of Fates, as a spinoff of the record‑breaking Korean competition show Battle of Fates. The program will be shot on location across South Korea and will be hosted by the three top‑placing fate readers from the original series. Participants travel to sites tied to Korean spiritual practice, taking part in ceremonies, local customs and personal fate readings before engaging with shamanic rituals.

Battle of Fates premiered on February 11 and became the No. 1 series premiere on Disney+ Korea in its first 12 days, also topping charts in Taiwan and other Asian markets. The show drew brief controversy in Korea over an episode that depicted a firefighter’s death, leading Disney to edit the segment. Local adaptations of Battle of Fates are under development in other territories, and House of Fates is the first spinoff greenlit by Disney+.
