Disney theme parks prepare for 2026 Halloween season

Disney theme parks are preparing for the 2026 Halloween season with several major updates and event announcements. At Disneyland Park, the original Haunted Mansion attraction closed on August 12 to make way for the annual ‘Haunted Mansion Holiday’ overlay, inspired by ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’. This seasonal transformation is scheduled to begin on August 21.

At Walt Disney World, the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is seeing high demand, with 12 of the 38 scheduled dates already sold out across August, September, and October. Ticket prices for the event vary by date and guest type, with Annual Passholders receiving discounts on select nights. Additionally, Disney Springs will host seasonal entertainment from August 11 through November 9, featuring themed performers such as pumpkin stilt walkers and roaming DJs.

At Disneyland Resort, the Oogie Boogie Bash is also seeing significant interest, with multiple dates already sold out. The 2026 event features new elements, including the debut of ‘Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake’ and appearances by characters such as Yzma.
