Disney Imagineering utilizes immersion and interactive puzzles to engage fans

Walt Disney Imagineering continues to utilize immersive storytelling and interactive elements to engage guests at its theme parks. At Walt Disney World, attractions such as the Haunted Mansion and the Pandora land in Animal Kingdom are designed to create deep sense of immersion through environmental details and narrative-driven experiences.

Additionally, a real-time interactive mystery is currently unfolding involving the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.). Following an incident at D23 where a special archive crate was found to contain only bricks and a note, Imagineers have been releasing riddles via social media. These puzzles, led by S.E.A. Archivist Bonnie Booker, allow fans to participate in a hunt to identify a mysterious thief who allegedly stole the ‘Ridge Jewel.’ The clues are designed to be solved online using images of Disneyland, enabling global participation in the character reveal.
