Disney implements zero-tolerance safety policy at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Disney has implemented a zero-tolerance safety policy at its Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction following several dangerous incidents involving guests. The resort has installed 12 new warning signs and deployed continuous overhead audio announcements throughout the queue to ensure visitors remain seated.

The crackdown follows a June 2026 incident where a 13-year-old guest exited a moving log vehicle and slid down the attraction’s approximately 50-foot drop. While the teenager was treated for minor injuries and released from a local hospital, the event triggered an emergency ride shutdown and subsequent safety inspections. California officials found no operational issues with the ride.

Other recent disruptions include a July incident where a guest stood up during motion, causing a ride stoppage, and an August incident where an entire family was escorted from the park after children repeatedly stood up in their vehicle. Disney’s new messaging explicitly warns that guests who attempt to leave their vehicles mid-ride will be immediately ejected from the park.
