Disney Jr. and ESPN host free youth sports clinic in Chicago

Disney Jr. and ESPN, in partnership with the Chicago Park District and ABC7 Chicago, hosted a free community event titled ‘Let’s Play Sports!’ at the ComEd Recreational Center on Chicago’s Near West Side.

The clinic was designed for children aged 3 to 7 to experience various athletic activities, including soccer, baseball, gymnastics, and boxing. Organizers aimed to build confidence in young participants and provide parents with resources to access local youth sports programs.

Nonprofit partner Every Kid Sports also participated to address financial barriers to youth athletics. Lisa Vasquez, senior manager of Disney Entertainment Corporate Social Responsibility, stated the event was intended to inspire joy and provide a magical introduction to sports for young families.
