Disney+ launches ESPN hub in the Philippines

Disney+ has launched a dedicated ESPN hub in the Philippines, integrating live sports and original programming into existing subscriptions at no additional cost. The expansion aims to capitalize on the country’s high engagement with basketball and combat sports.

Under the new agreement, subscribers gain access to a wide range of content, including live NBA games, UFC events, Formula E, NCAA competitions, and NBL action. The platform also features ESPN original shows, studio programs, and on-demand replays. To support this rollout, Disney+ has introduced the “Ito ang Homecourt Mo!” marketing campaign.

The UFC media deal includes coverage of all live events and selected original programming such as UFC Countdown, UFC Connected, The Ultimate Fighter, and ROAD TO UFC. The launch of this programming is set to coincide with UFC 333, featuring championship bouts such as Alexander Volkanovski defending the featherweight title. Access is available via the Disney+ app and through local distribution partners including Globe, GCast/AliPay, and Cignal.
