Disney+ launches thriller series 'Furious' starring Emmy Rossum
Disney+ introduced the new original drama series "Furious" on 27 July, making the first three episodes available at launch and releasing subsequent episodes weekly. The series, produced for Hulu internationally and streamed on Disney+ (on Hulu in the United States), was created by Elizabeth Meriwether.
Emmy Rossum stars as FBI agent Alice Black, who pursues a brilliant serial killer while the investigation blurs the line between hunter and hunted. The cast also includes Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Jake Lacy, and the show emphasizes psychological tension over conventional crime‑thriller action.
"Furious" is billed as a psychologically intense thriller that explores moral ambiguity and the inner lives of both the investigator and the killer, aiming to engage audiences with a slow‑burn, character‑driven narrative.
