Disney launches World Princess Week with global celebrations

Disney has launched World Princess Week, a global celebration featuring new content, special events, and consumer products. The festivities include the release of a new short film, ‘Once A Princess, Always A Princess’, directed by Alex Prager, which is available on Disney+.

A major highlight of the celebration is ‘Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration’, held at the Disneyland Resort during D23. The concert featured a historic gathering of talent, including Brandy, Anika Noni Rose, and Halle Bailey. The appearance of these three performers—who portrayed Cinderella, Tiana, and Ariel respectively—was noted by fans for representing nearly three decades of expanded representation within the franchise.
