Disney parks kick off Christmas decorations in early November

Disney’s theme parks switch from Halloween to Christmas each year in early November, usually the day after the final Mickey’s Not‑So‑Scary Halloween Party night. A phased conversion replaces pumpkins and spooky décor with wreaths, garlands, towering trees and holiday lighting, often overnight to avoid guest disruption.

By the second week of November the full holiday atmosphere is in place, with special shows such as the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, and festive fireworks and parades across the resorts. Merchandise also shifts from Halloween to Christmas themes, and holiday‑themed dining experiences are added. The timing aligns with the holiday travel season, encouraging visitors to experience the parks before Thanksgiving and throughout Christmas.

The transformation follows a similar schedule at both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California, though exact dates may vary slightly each year.
