Disney Pixar's Toy Story 5 to release on home media in 2026

Disney and Pixar have announced that Toy Story 5 will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and limited edition Blu-ray Steelbook on October 23, 2026. The film, directed by Oscar winner Andrew Stanton and co-directed by McKenna Harris, explores the intersection of toys and technology.

In the German release, Michael Bully Herbig returns as Woody and Rick Kavanian as Rex, with new voice additions including Gery Seidl and Zeki Bulgurcu. The home media versions will include exclusive bonus features, such as behind-the-scenes looks at the dubbing process and audio commentaries.

Separately, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, character costumes in Toy Story Land have transitioned from special Toy Story 5 promotional attire back to their classic designs. Woody has returned to his standard outfit without the red bandanna poncho, Jessie has removed her sheriff badge, and Buzz Lightyear no longer features the promotional star sticker.
