Disney Plus expands content with series renewal and new K-drama

Disney Plus has announced several upcoming content expansions, including the renewal of the crime thriller series “Furious” for a second season. The first season, created by Elizabeth Meriwether and starring Emmy Rossum, has seen significant audience growth, with views for the seventh episode increasing by 40% compared to the premiere. The series currently holds a high critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Additionally, the streaming platform is set to release the K-drama “The Remarried Empress” on November 4. Adapted from a globally successful webtoon, the ten-episode series features elements of fantasy, romance, and political intrigue. The production stars Shin Mina and Ju Jihoon, marking a strategic move by Disney Plus to expand its premium Korean content offerings.
