Voice actor Jim Cummings has revealed that he is being recast for the upcoming reboot of the Disney animated series ‘Darkwing Duck’.

Cummings, who provided the original voice for the titular hero and his alter ego, Drake Mallard, during the series' initial run from 1991 to 1992, shared the news during a red carpet appearance for ‘Coyote Vs. ACME’. While a reboot of the franchise has been in development for some time, including a project announced in 2020 involving Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the new iteration will not feature Cummings in his original role.
