Walt Disney World announces new lounge, resort updates, and Halloween event news
Walt Disney World is introducing several updates across its parks and resorts. A new waterfront lounge, Hurly-Burly, is set to open at Disney's BoardWalk in late 2026. The venue, themed after a historic seaside theatre, will offer family-friendly activities in the afternoon and live music for guests aged 21 and older at night. The menu features items such as meatballs in tomato gravy, roast beef sliders, and mini apple cider doughnuts.
At Magic Kingdom, demand for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party remains high, with four additional party dates having sold out. Available dates for September and October are decreasing as the spooky season progresses.
Regarding resort amenities, the dock at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts has officially reopened following refurbishment, allowing Friendship Boat services to resume transport to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. Additionally, guests staying at the Yacht Club Resort have been notified of scheduled fireworks testing for EPCOT’s ‘Luminous The Symphony of Us’ occurring overnight on September 1.
New seasonal merchandise has also arrived, including a ‘Grand Apple Orchard’ tee available at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s Acorns Gifts & Goods shop.
