Disney releases Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack on vinyl

The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise continues to see activity through media releases and obscure lore. Walt Disney Records has announced that the soundtrack for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest', composed by Hans Zimmer, will be released on vinyl for the first time. The special 'Bottle Clear' vintage edition is scheduled for release on September 25.

Additionally, a lesser-known ten-minute prequel titled 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code: Wedlocked' exists. Directed by James Ward Byrkit and originally released in 2011 as a Blu-ray extra, the short film explores the backstories of characters Scarlett and Giselle before the events of 'The Curse of the Black Pearl'. The plot reveals that both women were set to marry the same man: Jack Sparrow.
