Disney+ Removes 4K and HDR Support from Premium Tier

Disney+ has stopped offering 4K UHD resolution and HDR support to subscribers of its Premium plan. The price of the Premium subscription remains unchanged at €15.99 per month, but customers now receive only Full HD (1080p) video quality. The company has not provided a public explanation for the change, and its website still advertises 4K and HDR for the Premium tier. Disney+ support confirmed that UHD and HDR are no longer available in the affected region, stating that the reason is unknown. Users have expressed disappointment on social media, accusing the service of reducing value while keeping the same price.

The removal affects all Premium subscribers worldwide, though no specific country is mentioned. Disney+ has not announced a timeline for restoring the higher-resolution options.
