Disney renews Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends for seventh season

Disney has greenlit a seventh season of the preschool series ‘Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends’ for Disney Jr. and Disney+. The announcement was made by Alyssa Sapire, head of Disney Jr. Original Programming and Strategy, during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

The series has become Marvel’s most-watched TV show on Disney+, accumulating nearly 1.3 billion streaming hours globally. It follows the adventures of Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy as Team Spidey. Season 6 is expected to debut in 2027, with Season 7 following in 2028.

Additionally, a special titled ‘Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up!’ was announced, set to premiere on September 24 on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, with streaming on Disney+ the following day. The special will feature voice work from musicians Patrick Stump and Este Haim, who will portray the villains Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve. Stump, the series’ composer, has written two new songs for the special, which are scheduled for release by Walt Disney Records on August 16.
