Disney+ rolls out Season 2 of Korean action series ‘Shop of Killers’

On July 20 Disney+ held an online production launch for the second season of the Korean action series ‘Shop of Killers’. The event, streamed from the Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, featured returning leads Lee Dong‑wook and Kim Hee‑jun alongside new additions such as Masaki Okada, who will portray the East‑Asian branch chief “J” of the rival organization Babylon.

The drama follows the shop‑owner‑turned‑assassin Choi Jian (Kim Hee‑jun) and his resurrected uncle Choi Jin‑man (Lee Dong‑wook) as they mount a full‑scale counter‑attack against the global Babylon syndicate. Season 2 promises expanded gun‑play and more elaborate stunts, building on the first season’s critical acclaim – it was named one of the New York Times’ Best TV Shows of 2024 and featured in TIME’s top‑four Korean dramas of the year. The new season will debut exclusively on Disney+ on July 22.
