Disney+ sees strong summer performance driven by Pixar’s Hoppers
Disney+ has experienced a successful summer season driven by high-performing film content. According to data analyzed by The Wrap and Nielsen, Pixar’s ‘Hoppers’ emerged as a major streaming blockbuster, accumulating 2.66 billion streaming minutes during the June and July period. This figure significantly outperformed other titles, which failed to reach the 2 billion minute mark.
The platform’s recent success is attributed to a mix of popular movies, Hulu reruns, and the series ‘Bluey’. While streaming data often lacks transparency, third-party metrics indicate that family-oriented content remains a primary driver for subscriber engagement during the summer months.
