Disney+ streaming trends: VisionQuest and Toy Story 5

The Disney+ streaming platform in Portugal has seen a shift in viewership leadership. The miniseries ‘VisionQuest’ has become the most-watched program on the service shortly after its debut, surpassing the long-standing popularity of ‘Toy Story 5’.

‘VisionQuest’ follows the character Vision as he attempts to escape the S.W.O.R.D. organization, which seeks to weaponize him. The narrative explores Vision's connection to various artificial intelligence personalities, including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and Ultron, while he seeks a new purpose alongside a mysterious youth named Thomas Shepherd.

In related production history, early development concepts for ‘Toy Story 3’ reportedly included a plot centered on Buzz Lightyear’s origins. This discarded storyline would have involved a journey through Taipei, Taiwan, to locate Buzz’s creator, Mr. Kagoy, after a factory error sent the toy back to his manufacturing site.
