Disney+ to debut Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi series on August 5, 2026

Disney+ unveiled the trailer and poster for the upcoming eight‑episode series *Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi* during a special panel at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. Supervising director Kenji Kamiyama, director Shunsuke Tada and producer Hitoshi Ito presented the material, which sets the series after the events of the earlier *Visions* shorts and follows the Jedi apprentice Lah Kara on a quest to rescue her father and confront a mysterious figure called Nawaam.

The series will premiere on Disney+ (and Hulu) on August 5, 2026. Voice talent includes Chinatsu Akasaki and Simu Liu in the Japanese cast, and Kimiko Glenn and Young Mazino in the English dub. Executive producers are James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Justin Leach and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, with Hitoshi Ito and Kanako Shirasaki as producers and Caroline Keller as co‑producer.
