Disney+ to premiere ‘Love Doctor’ starring Kim So-hyun and Chae Jong-hyeop

The romantic Korean drama ‘Love Doctor’ is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on October 5. The series serves as the final work of the late acclaimed director Ahn Pan-seok, known for his realistic portrayals of emotional nuances in works such as ‘Secret Affair’ and ‘Spring Night’.

Set within a robotics research laboratory at Seoul National University, the story follows two graduate students navigating personal hardships. Chae Jong-hyeop portrays Park Min-jae, a former talented swimmer who turned to academia in robotics and physical therapy after undergoing an amputation due to illness. Kim So-hyun plays Lim Yu-jin, a former fashion design student who transitioned to mechanical engineering after facing academic setbacks.

The drama explores themes of disability, insecurity, and mutual healing, using the intersection of high-tech robotics and physical therapy as a backdrop to examine human connection and compassion.
