Disney to re-release Encanto in Colombia to support earthquake relief

Disney and Cinecolor Colombia have announced that the Oscar-winning animated film “Encanto” will return to Colombian cinemas on November 12. The re-release serves as a solidarity initiative to support communities affected by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred on August 10.

Royalties from the re-release, along with an additional financial contribution from Disney, will be donated to the Colombian Red Cross. These funds are intended to support humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in the departments of Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Quindío, Risaralda, and Caldas, where many homes were destroyed and residents were left displaced.
