Disney+ to premiere F1 Academy documentary on November 19

Disney+ and ESPN will release a new documentary special, ‘The Pursuit: F1 Academy’, globally on November 19. The film provides behind-the-scenes access to the 2025 season of the F1 Academy, an all-female racing series designed by Formula 1 to prepare young women for higher levels of motorsport.

The documentary follows elite drivers, including Doriane Pin, Maya Weug, Chloe Chambers, and Alisha Palmowski, as they navigate the competitive pressures and personal sacrifices required to succeed in a traditionally male-dominated sport. Filmed at various global locations, the special explores themes of ambition, perseverance, and representation.

Produced as part of the ‘Fuel the Magic’ collaboration between Disney and Formula 1, the project features insights from F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff. The release is timed to coincide with the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, which takes place from November 19 to 21.
