Disney+ to release ‘Vienna Game’ series on November 18

Disney+ has announced that the six-part historical satire series ‘Vienna Game’ will premiere on November 18, 2026. Produced by Satel Film, the period dramedy is set in Vienna during the year 1814.

The series depicts the political maneuvering and intrigues surrounding the Congress of Vienna, a period when European powers—including England, Russia, Austria, Prussia, and France—sought to reorganize the continent following Napoleon Bonaparte’s exile to Elba. The narrative focuses on the intersection of high-stakes diplomacy, personal interests, and romance, specifically following Wilhelmine von Sagan as she attempts to influence peace negotiations and Prince Metternich.

The production features an international ensemble cast including Marlene Tanczik, Daniel Donskoy, Alexander Scheer, Vladimir Burlakov, Fritz Karl, and Heike Makatsch. The series was written by Stefan Brunner and directed by Hannu Salonen.
