Disney Unveils Sustainable Adventure World Park as Analyst Calls for Streaming Exit
The Walt Disney Company opened Disney Adventure World, the newly redesigned second park at Disneyland Paris, on March 29. The park incorporates eight sustainability features, including recycled water for landscaping, energy‑recovery brakes on the Rapunzel ride, geothermal heating, electric boats for the night show, and a closed‑loop water system for the Frozen Ever After attraction. It also debuted the Snowflower Festival in the World of Frozen area.
Separately, Wells Fargo analyst Steven Cahill issued a note proposing that Disney abandon its Disney+ streaming service and return to a traditional licensing model. He argues that Disney could generate up to $15 billion in licensing revenue and potentially lift its share price by as much as 40 percent. The suggestion has sparked debate among investors and Disney executives about the future of the company’s streaming strategy.
