Disney World adjusts Magic Kingdom hours and Lightning Lane prices for August Halloween parties

Walt Disney World announced revised operating hours for Magic Kingdom on the three Mickey’s Not‑So‑Scary Halloween Party dates in August 2024 (August 7, 11 and 14). Early Theme Park Entry will begin at 7:30 a.m., moving the park’s official opening to 8:00 a.m., a half‑hour earlier than previously scheduled.

In addition to the hour shift, Disney is lowering Lightning Lane pricing for those party nights. Premier Pass, Multi Pass and Single Pass rates for Magic Kingdom attractions will drop to their lowest points of the season on the three party dates and also on August 18 and 21. The price reductions apply to popular rides such as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run and others.

Disney says the changes aim to balance the needs of guests attending the separately ticketed Halloween parties with those holding standard day tickets, offering more park time and reduced wait‑times while making the Lightning Lane experience more affordable on the affected evenings.
