Disney World and Universal Orlando End Local Perks for Residents

Walt Disney World announced that guests must now show a Disney hotel reservation or a dining/experience reservation to board buses at Disney Springs, ending the informal transportation hub that many Orlando locals and annual passholders had used. The policy is aimed at limiting unofficial park‑hopping.

Universal Orlando confirmed that the bundled Frequent Fear Express Pass for Halloween Horror Nights has been discontinued. While multi‑night Frequent Fear passes will still return and standalone Express Passes remain available, the package that offered the best value for local visitors has been removed to improve overall guest experience.
