Disney World Announces 2026 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates and Hurricane Season Travel Guidance

Walt Disney World in Orlando announced that the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return for the 2026 season on select evenings from November 8 through December 22. The separately ticketed event will feature a holiday parade, Minnie‑hosted fireworks, themed shows and exclusive character meet‑ups throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Disney also reminded guests that Florida’s hurricane season runs from June to November, with forecasts predicting eight to fourteen named storms, of which one to three could become major hurricanes. The resort’s policies allow guests who booked directly with Disney to reschedule or cancel their hotel packages and most room‑only reservations without penalty if a hurricane warning is issued within seven days of arrival. When parks close due to severe weather, partially used multi‑day tickets may be extended and unused tickets re‑dated. Routine afternoon thunderstorms may temporarily shut down outdoor attractions, shifting guests to indoor rides.

The combined announcements aim to guide visitors planning trips to the park later this year and during the holiday period.
